This would greatly help with any future work needed for managing MAPI resources such as ControlPlaneMachinesets or even new platforms.

This card can be considered done when:

• Refactor the platform handler function to use a providerSpec generic
• Remove paths for currently unsupported platforms
• No functionality should change; all existing e2es should pass
