There is a bug in the conversion logic which prevents this setting (as well as other readiness settings) from being applied if statusPort is not set.

To reproduce, set the value for rewriteApplicationProbes and verify its setting in status.appliedSpec and status.appliedValues (will be rewriteAppHTTPProbe in appliedValues).
