Scenario:

Deploy a ServiceMeshExtension which points to a broken image (e.g., a private image in quay.io).

The image stream fails to pull the image.

User fixes permission in the quay.io repo

MEC is stuck and does not instruct Image Stream to refetch the image. Upon sync update events, it keeps failing with the message: "failed to pull Image: ImageStream has not processed image yet".
