    • Log Collection - Sprint 260

      Summary

      As an administrator,
I want my collector to be able to configure my LokiStack and write to it using OTEL schema and to be able to query log records from the web console

      Acceptance Criteria

      • Verify the default data model when not specified and writing to LokiStack is ViaQ
      • Verify the data model is configurable to be OTEL
      • Verify log records are visible in the web console when querying using the available UI widgets
      • Verify log records are visible in the web console when using logQL and MVP labels (i.e. ViaQ kubernetes label semantics)
      • Verify log records are visible in the web console when using logQL and OTEL kubernetes label semantics

      Notes

      • When OTEL, Ship ViaQ attributes (MVPs) to support UI along with kubernetes labels
      • Note there are no logging-view-plugin changes or upgrades that will be available when testing feature
      • There will need to be a change in the default logQL on the UI side, see comment below.
