[release-5.7] Unused eventrouter metrics consuming unnecessary memory

    • Before this update, unused metrics in the eventrouter caused the container to be killed due to memory usage. With this update, the unused metrics have been removed from eventourter to reduce memory consumption.

      The eventrouter code contains a set of metrics that should show counts for certain Kubernetes events. Due to a bug these metrics are unused in more recent versions of the eventrouter, but they still consume memory.

      They should be removed from the eventrouter, so that they do not consume any unnecessary memory.
