Summary

Investigate a newer release of vector to determine which one we should choose and identify any blockers that might keep us from upgrading

Acceptance Criteria

• Document the requirements to upgrade to a new release
• Create JIRA cards to implement the work needed to upgrade
• Gain approval and acceptance from the log collection team

Notes

• The primary known blocker to upgrade is vector's ring dependency
• This effort should take no longer then 3 days
