Goals

Tell customers how to view LokiStack logs with Grafana:

• Document instructions for connecting from an existing Grafana instance to LokiStack
• Document pointers on freely available ways to set up a simple Grafan instance.

Non-Goals

• Not telling people how to deploy or manage Grafana
  • except for simple pointers to existing Grafana docs on the subject

Motivation

• Some customers will want to view logs in Grafana because it is well known.
• This may be the only way to view LokiStack logs at time of 5.5 release
  Depends on progress of LOG-2389, and timing of openshift release that includes it.

Alternatives

Complete LOG-2389 and:

• Include it in an openshift release that preceeds logging 5.5 OR
• Include it in logging 5.5 as a dynamic plugin that can be injected into the console.

Acceptance Criteria

• User document complete and reviewed
• CI tests to validate connection method described
