      Summary

We have created several collector benchmarking utilities to evaluate our collecter performance. The CLO version requires a cluster and the ViaQ version is better suited for holistic evaluation to evaluate actual memory, throughput, and cpu against a live cluster. This task aims to provide the capability to test the collector config and image locally to provide rudimentary understanding of memory, throughput, cpu with a faster feedback cycle.

      Acceptance Criteria

      • functional-benchmarker tests locally without the need of a OCP cluster
      • Generates results with similar statistics to those available from the cluster version including: mem, cpu, latency
      • Capability to specify the config to be tested instead of relying on the CL Generator
