Today, the Operator controllers are relying on the field status.applied to compare the changes made to the workflow in order to rebuild the image.
In devmode, this field is completely ignored. In prod, we should review its usage and maybe use the annotations field instead (kubectl.kubernetes.io/last-applied-configuration).
