There's no reason to use StatefulSet for the Data Index since its state is dependant on Infinispan/Kafka that are SS by its nature.

Also, the Deployment could use the ImageTrigger feature from OpenShift to link it to an Image Stream, similarly of what has been done for Jobs Service. See reference:
