One idea to speed up the build time is to have the Kogito Runtimes, Codegen and BOM already deployed in the .m2 directory for s2i images.
Won't add size to the final image since the libraries will be there anyway. Just the initial image will be "heavier", but this is something that won't add too much, IMO.
