Currently kogito-apps has the kogito-build-parent set as its parent. Moreover, kogito-build-parent is not available in Maven Central, just in the JBoss public repository. However, as kogito-apps doesn't have the JBoss public repository defined, it cannot find it and compilation of kogito-apps results in an error in case it is not available in the local Maven repository. This can be solved by specifying the JBoss public repo in the pom.xml of kogito-apps module. We already do the same thing in 7.x repositories, such as jbpm, droolsjbpm-integration, etc.
