Goals

On VS Code, some editors need to be able to open other source files on a new tab.

The main goal of this JIRA is to create an API that offers a mechanism to notify VS Code to open a file by an absolute or relative path.

Non-goals

On this JIRA, the only channel covered will be the VS Code.
