      Feature Overview (aka. Goal Summary)

The Openshift Sandboxed Containers product is expected to support all Openshift Container Platform (OCP) GA versions supported by Red Hat. Being able to leverage support from the upstream Kata Containers community is a key aspect to this. Since the Kata Containers project only supports one stable release at a time, it is important to rebase to the latest stable release. Same applies for peer pods support which is based on experimental code supported by the upstream CoCo community. This should be done on all supported OCP versions when possible.

      Goals (aka. expected user outcomes)

Customers should be able to run sandboxed containers in pods and peer pods on supported OCP versions.

Customers should be able to upgrade from a supported older OCP versions from this list to a newer one without loosing functionality.

      Requirements (aka. Acceptance Criteria):

      • Kata-containers 3.2 RPM availability on RHEL9 based supported OCP versions : 4.13, 4.14 and 4.15
      • Peer pods shim binary CoCo 0.8.0 available in the RPM for all supported OCP versions: 4.12, 4.13, 4.14 and 4.15
      • RPM availability for x86 and s390x
