OLM provides a field to describe the level of capabilities that the operator has: 

Basic install
Seamless Upgrades
Full Lifecycle
Deep Insights
Autopilot
It is visible in the OperatorHub when you select an operator to install.  This might affect adoption rate if it is just "Basic install".  I think we are at least up to Seamless Upgrades.  I am not sure what the other capabilities mean, but we should have a plan of our goal and how we are going to get there.
