Dear Documentation Colleagues,
The Windows Installation Guide issues.
- Where: Procedure 3.1. Installing Java Development Kit (JDK) for Microsoft Windows
- The numbering does not match lines (1).
- Where: Procedure 3.3. Extract JBoss Web Server
- Note should mention that writing/unzipping to C:\Program Files needs to be done with Administrator privileges.
- Where: Procedure 3.4. Setting Environment Variables
- User does not to be logged as Administrator to change the System Variables either additional login is requested, when System variable is to be added/changed or user has sufficient privileges.
- Where: Procedure 3.4. Setting Environment Variables
- Setting values of JAVA_HOME, TMP and TEMP variables is not properly cleared. Which values?
- Where: Invoking command prompt in procedures descriptions.
- Windows installation looks obsolete. Command prompt can be run as administrator in different ways.
- Where: Run of batch files.
- Is using of "call" command needed?
- Where: Procedure 3.12. Configuring Folder Permissions for JBoss Web Server Services
- Add more descriptive information than "Click OK". I.e. In the window Advanced Security Settings press/confirm OK.
- Where: 3.1. Installing a Java Development Kit (JDK)
- Is JDK needed? The JRE is not enough for run? I.e. https://access.redhat.com/solutions/18259
