This works fine in 2.2.9.1, but fails in 2.3 (head). Debugging it, I could see that the instance never returned from the handshaking mode.
I ran
java org.jgroups.demos.Draw -props tcp_nio.xml (the one from JGroups/conf), and drawing would not show up (not receiving its own messages). 1 instance if enough to reproduce the problem
