In a clustered Red Hat Data Grid environment (RHDG 8.4.7), failed authentication attempts generate:

ELY05055: Authentication rejected (invalid proof) errors.

However, the current logging does not provide sufficient information to identify the client or user responsible for the failed logins.  When a DG cluster is used by many applications it is difficult to establish univocally which application has failed authentication.

Log entries should indicate, at least when troubleshootin on a DEBUG level:

      • Client's IP
      • if Failed credential using username/pwd, at least Username who failed to authenticate.

If the cluster is under heavy load, without this information, troubleshooting, from the server side, what client is failing to authenticate is very hard.
