Trying to install the RHEL7 C++ client RPM from 7.2.0 DR2 produces the following error:
Error: Package: jdg-cpp-client-8.5.0.DR2-5.el7jdg.x86_64 (jdg-cpp-client)
Requires: protobuf-devel
Error: Package: jdg-cpp-client-8.5.0.DR2-5.el7jdg.x86_64 (jdg-cpp-client)
Requires: protobuf-static

yum can be configured to try to resolve such errors by temporarily enabling
disabled repos and searching for missing dependencies.
To enable this functionality please set 'notify_only=0' in /etc/yum/pluginconf.d/search-disabled-repos.conf

Installing the protobuf package does not resolve this, and protobuf-devel and protobuf-static do not exist. This causes the installation to fail.
