REST API of some quickstarts breaks after requesting a non-existent member

      In several quickstarts, the REST service does not handle requests for a non-existent member correctly. After this request, all subsequent requests to the service fail with javax.ejb.NoSuchEJBException (see the attachment for stack trace).
