They contain wrong version of WFK, see https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JDF-614.
Also they contain old version of Spring (3.2), should be replaced by 4.0. But be careful, replacement of all occurrences of '3.2' by '4.0' would not be correct. Sometimes there is written something like 'new feature introduced in Spring 3.2' and similar, here the '3.2' version should remain.

In these README.md there is always written the package name 'org.jboss.as.quickstarts.kitchensink.spring.basic.controller', but this is true only for spring-kitchensink-basic example, in other README.md files this should be replaced by the package name specific for the given example.
