It is not easy to include narayana within a modular application, see for example the forum link. increasingly applications and libraries are making use of modular jars and operating from the module-path so adding support for JPMS will be beneficial to users of narayana.

The initial goal is to create named modules for each component (probably matching our existing structure) and to rely on automatic modules for the jar dependencies.

Once we have a better understanding of the complexity of the requirement this issue description should be revised to reflect and to plan out the work.
