Process Instance Variable 'initiator' editing unexpected error

      1. start a process instance
      2. navigate to details and Process Variables tab
      3. click Edit near 'initiator' variable
      4. change value
      5. click save
      6. see unexpected error

    Description

      When user tries to edit value of initiator process instance variable an unexpected error is thrown.

      The error details say only ' | Uncaught exception: null'.

      Editing of other process instance variables works as expected.
