- start a process instance
- navigate to details and Process Variables tab
- click Edit near 'initiator' variable
- change value
- click save
- see unexpected error

When user tries to edit value of initiator process instance variable an unexpected error is thrown.
The error details say only ' | Uncaught exception: null'.
Editing of other process instance variables works as expected.
