Background
Actually we have two different editors:
- The process editor - for business processes
- The new case editor - for case processes
Assuming that both business and case processes are finally considered just a BPMN process, it should be possible to do the authoring for a case by the use of any of both editors.
Goals
The main goal for this task is to allow the user to switch, during the authoring of a case, between both process/case views.
The idea is to keep the CM editor as simple as possible, trying to make the case authoring experience as much easy and helpful as possible, but once the user has the need to use "advanced" configurations, it should be able to switch to the process view, which provides more advanced capabilities.
Action points
There are two main actions now, in order, which can be addressed in parallel:
- [UX] Obtain feedback from UX ( mstevens1_jira ) about the design and usability
- [Engineering] Implementation
