JBoss Enterprise Application Server attempted to load a per-profile <filename>run.conf</filename> file from the default location in <filename>$JBOSS_HOME/server/$PROFILE</filename>. Consequently, per-profile <filename>run.conf</filename> files stored in a different location were not loaded. The <literal>--run-conf=...</literal> option (on Windows: <literal>-r</literal>) has been added to the <filename>run.sh</filename> script, allowing to specify the location of the <filename>run.conf</filename> file that should be used. Using this option, per-profile <filename>run.conf</filename> files stored in another than the default location can now be loaded correctly.
