EWP GUI Installer on Windows: Deploy Seam Demo menu item does not work

When I install EWP on Windows using the installer, start it up and then try to deploy the Seam Demo application it doesn't work.
For example if I have EWP installed in w:\mmalina\EnterpriseWebPlatform-5.0.0.GA it should copy the seam app to w:\mmalina\EnterpriseWebPlatform-5.0.0.GA\jboss-as-web\server\default\deploy. Instead it uses w:\mmalinaEnterpriseWebPlatform-5.0.0.GA\......., i.e. it drops the backslash preceding the EWP install path somehow. I tried this on two machines so I don't think it's an enviromental issue.
Another problem is that if JAVA_HOME is not properly set as a Windows variable, but was set during the installation, the deployment doesn't work either. We had similar problem for the Uninstaller which is now done differently so it works independently of JAVA_HOME being set at the moment. Should I create another JIRA for that?
