The parsing of deny-uncovered-http-methods does not process the </deny-uncovered-http-methods> closing element. That causes the reader position to be at the closing element instead of pointing to the next element in the web.xml file. Because of that, the parser mistakenly stops from parsing the elements, behaving as if it had reached the closing </web-app> element.
