Steps to Reproduce:

Hide

You can currently provoke this by trying to launch an instance from an image that does not start with "ami-"

1) select an image that does not start with "ami-" in the image-view
2) choose "Launch instance" in the context-menu
3) the wizard for launching an instance pops up
4) fill in all values and hit finish

The error shown above pops up

Description

if something goes wrong when launching an instance from an image, the error dialog that shows the error to the user does not provide a human readable message but shows the exception twice.
