Dear Jenkins CSB Users,
Two important announcements for you:
New Jenkins-CSB version [Action Required]
OCP-C1 decommission reminder
New Jenkins-CSB version
The Data & Operations team announces that the next CSB release of Jenkins 2.440.2 and its update center is now available on PSI OpenShift. There is an upgrade deadline specified by Product Security[4] to 2024-06-18.
To get your Jenkins instance upgraded, follow the upgrade guide[1] and the self-service upgrade procedure[2]. If you encounter problems upgrading, raise a ticket for D&O[3].
Most notable changes in CSB version 2.440.2:
Several Jenkins plugins are no longer distributed:
beaker-builder - Unpatched security issues, minimal usage by Jenkins CSB customers
JDK_Parameter_Plugin - Unpatched security issues, minimal usage by Jenkins CSB customers
See the upgrade guide for a full list of changes between the releases at [1].
OCP C1 Decommissioning (TBD) - Reminder
Data & Operations will make sure Jenkins CSB deployments are migrated to
the new dedicated cluster. The process will be coordinated with instance
administrators.
We ask users to move other services, workloads, and projects hosting
agents only out of the OCP-C1 cluster ahead of time, as the D&O
dedicated cluster will not host those. The teams that do not have a
convenient cluster to migrate those into, are advised to use IT-managed
General Purpose Cluster[5]. (When requesting the tenant, select
“preprod-mpp-gpc-dc-rdu2” cluster).
Thank you!
