Debugging an app in an OpenShift container seems very slow. In JBIDE-26802 we added a warning if the "show method result" option was enabled. In RHDS we disabled the option by default: JBDS-4789.
In the latest Eclipse there's an additional option for remote connections "Enable for remote connections":

It is very possible that our old code doesn't work properly any more because there's this new option. We might have to now check for this newer option that concerns remote debugging.
