JBeret currently supports writing batch artifacts in scripting languages, such as Groovy, Scala, JRuby, Jython, PHP, JavaScript, R, etc, it should also be able to support Java as a script language.

This can be useful for quick testing and prototyping in batch applications for Java developers.
