In previous EJB client versions, compression was enabled by allowing the client scan for @CompressionHint annotation by using the org.jboss.ejb.client.view.annotation.scan.enabled property. This seems to no longer have any effect in EJB client 4.0. We verify this by checking usage of java.util.Inflater and Deflater which are used for compression, but they no longer seem to be used during invocations.
