Previous versions of JBoss EAP 7 allowed batch jobs to be queried, stopped, abandoned or restarted by any deployment that shared a job repository. Changes have been made to allow only jobs visible to the deployment to be queried or controlled via the {{javax.batch.operations.JobOperator}} regardless if the job repository is shared.

There were some changes in JBeret 1.2.2.Final which will allow batch to better integrate with WildFly and Elytron.

In this upgrade some refactoring will be done. The org.wildfly:wildfly-jberet artifact will also be removed as it will no longer be required. There will also be some changes with how the JobOperator works. For some details on this see http://lists.jboss.org/pipermail/wildfly-dev/2016-December/005581.html.
