We recently noticed that the org.apache.catalina.util.StringManager vanished from module org.jboss.as.web without being set to deprecated before.

in EAP 6.0.1 the class was still there: jbossweb-7.0.17.Final-redhat-1
in EAP 6.2.0 the class is not there anymore: jbossweb-7.2.2.Final-redhat-1

was this on purpose? if it's not used anymore, which class replaced its functionality.

we need to know because one of our projects uses classes from jbossweb.
