File system paths [1] for EAP instance embedded in CLI process [2] are always resolved according to $JBOSS_HOME value. Passing a system properties to embed server is supported, but all file system paths related properties are ultimately overwritten.

We run into this when customer was trying to change the standalone base directory for embed-server by passing the -Djboss.server.base.dir property to CLI process.

suggestion for improvement
Add the information about file system paths into the chapter 7. Running an Embedded Server of Management cli guide [2]
