There are some checkbox fields that are marked as required, for example in logging subsystem configuration: Console Handler, attribute Enabled. However, checkbox can take only 2 values - true or false - therefore it is not possible not to set the value of checkbox. In this case the requirement is misleading as it could be understood that the checkbox must be checked - which is not true.
