The root pom in 8.1.x has maven property 'full.dist.product.release.version' which is currently set to 8.1.0.GA. It should be 8.1.0.Beta until we move on to work on 8.1.0.GA. (In the 8.0.0.Beta tags an equivalent property was 8.0.0.Beta).

This affects various things the most significant of which is probably the wildscribe content. It also affects how the server reports itself, but only when the server is not built with a channel manifest or if that manifest doesn't specify the externally-produced org.jboss.eap:eap-product-conf artifact.
