Even when I execute the the installation with overridden repositories to fully benefit from local offline repo, the installation takes quite some time on Component installation screen.
The most time consuming (at least by visualization of progressbars) is "Generating documentation" - what is this subtask about? can we speed it up? After all, this should be just about some file operations in this stage, everything already resolved and downloaded.
I understand that eg. configuration of the server config files is slower because it is starting embedded server for configuring, but I am not sure what is behind "Generating documentation" task that would advocate for such long time.
In terms of numbers, for my laptop with i7 4cores/8ht, 32GB ram it takes 33 seconds for "Component installation" screen to complete when I provide locally unzipped offline repo (so no network activity at all, not need to extract anything).
Out of this 33 seconds, only 6 seconds is for first four tasks (Resolving feature-packs + Installing packages + Downloading components + Installing modules), the remaining huge 27 seconds go for Generating configuration(~9s) + Generating documentation(~14s) + Cleanup(~4s) which honestly doesn't seem right.
Can we do something about it?
