Not all server system properties can be resolved by the Host Controller. At this moment there is a subset of ${jboss.server.xxxx} expressions a Host Controller can resolve as management model values when booting a managed server:
jboss.server.base.dir jboss.server.data.dir jboss.server.log.dir jboss.server.temp.dir
The jboss.server.name could be included in the above list, and consequently be used as a boot time property with resolution at the managed server JVM option level.
