7.7.1.2. Configuring DNS_PING section describes how to configure the DNS ping for EAP. It details the environment variables and the configuration of the OpenShift service used to discover the pods that will join to the cluster.

The service selector configuration is not described in this section, and it could lead into misconfigurations when you are trying to use this guide with an application deployed by the Operator.

We could add a note about what the selector means and mention that it needs to be adjusted when the application has been deployed with the Operator.
