The official JBoss EAP Operator documentation states that the operator version 2.3.1 is the one supporting EAP 7, see https://access.redhat.com/articles/5702651

That being said - though - when trying to install the Operator on OCP, the only available channel - i.e. stable - is installing Operator version 2.3.8, i.e. the latest in the 2.3.x stream.

The aforementioned documentation contents should be modified in order to mention just the supported stream (2.3.x), rather than a micro build.
