In EAP 7 (=> Undertow) there is no direct support for valves. Instead Undertow adds ability to use handlers both predefined and custom. Undertow handlers adds similar capabilities as Valves have in EAP 6.

Thus it is incorrect that there is no replacement for Valves functionality.
