For https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBEAP-11962, did a review of the EJB guide. Some minor updates were submitted through that JIRA, but here are the rest of the outstanding items from the review:
- Screenshots need to be updated from 7.0 to 7.1. These are the ones I noticed:
- Figure 2.1. New EJB Project Wizard
- Figure 2.2. Newly Created EJB Project in the Project Explorer
- Figure 2.4. New EAR Application Project Wizard
- Figure 3.2. New Session Bean in Red Hat JBoss Developer Studio
- "The root namespace is http://www.jboss.com/xml/ns/javaee."
- This renders as a link. It redirects to redhat.com. I'm assuming that it's supposed to be a value and shouldn't render as a link. You can put a "\" in front of a link in AsciiDoc to force it not to render as a link.
- These details don't seem important, can they be removed?
- "Can this be removed: “... as described in the book Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software by Erich Gamma, Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson and John Vlissides; published by Addison-Wesley in 1994."
- Can some of the comments in the "HelloWorldMDBServletClient Code Example" code be cleaned up?
- Many are unnecessary, and there is an odd item that looks like it should be a link: {@linkplain WebServlet
- Previous versions of JBoss EAP included a feature where the message stream that contained the EJB protocol message could be compressed. This feature has been included in JBoss EAP 6.3 and later.
- Does this mean that something used to be in EAP 5, but wasn't in EAP 6 til 6.3? Because if so, and it's in EAP 7, this should be reworded (and the version info pulled).
- "Use the following management CLI command to access and update the iiop-openjdk subsystem."
/subsystem=iiop-openjdk- The "/subsystem=iiop-openjdk" isn't actually a valid command like the text says. It's just an address and if someone tried to execute it, it would fail. Maybe this section could just be removed, or it could be reworded to be clearer that it's an address, not a commend. Maybe not have it in a separate code block?
