The patching process seems to succeed. So it's likely that the patched install will still be usable. However, the fact that a non-zero exit code is returned will cause scripts or applications that rely upon patching EAP to fail erroneously.

      1) Unzip EAP 6.4.0 to a directory.
      2) Apply 6.4.9 CP to this installation.
      3) Apply 6.4.15 CP to the patched 6.4.9 installation.
      4) Observe the exception

When patching 6.4.9 to 6.4.15 using the CP, an uncaught exception is thrown after a successfully applied patch. The command returns a non-zero exit status. See attached file for output from the patching tool.

I attached a remote debugger to the process to try and find where the exception was being thrown, but tracing through using breakpoints resulted in the exception not being thrown. I'll do more research and see if I can find out more.
