      Over the years we have done various hacks to izpack 3 and 4 panels to make it behave well/as we wanted.

      izpack 5 is rumored to have many of these fixes properly integrated thus it make sense to try and investigate if we should upgrade to izpack 5.

            Seems like out of date now. Nobody requested this anymore or was working on it. So I am closing it. Feel free to reopen if you find it useful.

            During EclipseCon NA, some people demonstrated an OSS (EPL) project they have to create p2-friendly installers, based on SWT and JFace. This looks way more efficient than relying on IzPack. We should investigate around this tool and, if we like it, drop IzPack in favor of it:

            I'll check what exactly should be done to make that happen and see if it possible to fix for Beta2
