Known issue using JBDS 4.1.0 w/ Unity desktop manager. Workaround: Don't use Unity, try Ubuntu Classic or if you must use Unity use the shell script jbdevstudio-unity as found in the installation to start JBoss Developer Studio with instead of the default installed actions. This scripts sets an environment variable disabling the unity menu functionality which causes problems with Eclipse.

After installing jbdevstudio-product-linux-gtk-x86_64-4.1.0.v201107151650R-H633-CR3.jar, it seems all menus but the "Window" one are missing.

I don't have the problem using a stock Helios JavaEE distro.

      md5 checksum is ok.
