    Description

      The description says it all.

      The problem is that when using specific Log4j (or other logging system) appenders, using Throwable.printStackTrace can cause problems since we are capturing stdout and routing them back through the logging system by default.

      This goes back at least to 4.0.4.GA as indicated in the JIRA.
