At present, jboss-ql does not support UCASE() or similar functions in ORDER BY clauses. A workaround is to use declared-sql, but this requires db-specific queries, unlike jboss-ql which is db-independent and therefore much more attractive to developers of db-agnostic applications.

Given that jboss-ql already supports UCASE etc. in the WHERE clause, hopefully it's not too much work to add support for these functions to the ORDER BY clause as well?
