A member may lose its coordinator status during the view change and the new coordinator must be able to perform the recovery and continue cluster operation. For example, changing from view [B] to [A,B].

When this happens, JGroups sends a MergeView which is handled differently from a normal view. The following cases do not trigger a MergeView and must be handled correctly:

• UPGRADE protocol at the current version
• By customizing MembershipChangePolicy (See Documentation)
