Support sorting on embedded fields

It seems that is not possible to sort a query result on a property that is contained in an embedded entity, even if the embedded relationship is one to one.
So it is not possible for instance to perform the query:

from fax.play.book b order by b.author.numberOfPublishedBooks desc
